Microsoft fight fire with fire.

For years now there has been this conflict between Apple Macintosh and Microsoft, this is old news, everyone has seen the Apple adverts that, put simply, drop kick Microsoft in their tiny little microchips, the “Hi, I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC” with a student type looking layabout for the Mac user and a very conservative, stick up the ass bore for the PC user.

If you have been living in a cave for the past few years, then go and YouTube the Mac vs PC adverts.

If you haven’t, then you’ll know that they have been copied like a biatch, from the everyday comedic webcam user, to celebrities, such as the Mitchell and Webb duo and even Mr Bean, but the next video is from a massively popular brand – Nintendo.

It seems though, that Microsoft have sat by and just taken the abuse.
Until now.

They have set out to regain their reputation, be the bigger man. They’ve done it, with this new campaign they come across more worldly, they’re breaking the PC user stereotype and what really got me, is how mature they’ve come across. Unlike Apple, with their blatant attack on the PC this advert shows just what PC users are really made of.

That advert was ok, the next one I personally prefer.

There’s only one more so I might aswell show it.

I’ve dragged this post on for long enough so I’ll leave it there.

Just one more thing…

PC or MAC?

Definitely a Mac: iMac, MacBook, iPhone, iPod, and soon a MacBook Air :)

Haha definately, the more I watch those PC adverts like the flash banners on the hotmail inbox the more I think, hmm. “I’m a PC, and I like wearing silly hats” – Brilliant.

PC’s can always do more things than mac’s. Right click for example.

  4. The Big Cheese says:

Well actually, I think your misinformed on the whole situation. Sure PC’s can get more viruses and crash a lot more often, but mac’s do have right clicks. Either on the mighty mouse, on the right side of the track pad, ctrl and click or just the easy peasy two finger click. Have a nice day.
